Main Square Avignon The apartment is in the heart of Avignon. A large pedestrian only shopping district is 1 block away. Restaurants are everywhere, from inexpensive bistros to haute cuisine. Museums and art galleries and the fresh produce markets are all within 5 blocks. The morning croissant, buttery and still warm from the oven, is across the square. When you drive 15 minutes in any direction, you are among the fields and villages of Provence.
Getting There:  You can fly to Marseille and rent a car. Avignon is one hour from the airport. Or you can fly to Paris and take a train. Avignon is 2 hours, 40 minutes by train. Or you can drive from Paris, on the excellent autoroutes of France, in about 7 hours.
